Learn e-commerce Rainforest tools to build your business online. Through this 16-week online course (January 21, 2020 - May 16, 2020), you will experience an overview of e-commerce and business topics including:
- Product and Service Business Options
- Affiliate Marketing Basics with companies like AliExpress, JVZoo, and Warrior Plus,etc
- Explore Domain Terminology, Keywords, Finding Expired Domains, Flipping Domains,etc.
- Setting up (and potentially flipping) one or more E-Commerce stores with Keyword-rich Domain Names
- Set up accounts and learn to use world-class tools/services like Zoom, YouTube, PayPal, fiverr.com, etc.
- Introduction to Innovation Processes and Design Thinking
- Overview on Pitching Your Ideas (and actually doing the "pitching") based on your Business Model Canvas
This course is open to anyone in the community and available completely online. You will need to be able to access the internet and have a microphone/headset, small video camera or PC camera or tablet/smartphone.
The course will begin on January 21, 2020 and conclude in May 2020. The course can be done on your own time and there is no set meeting time other than as scheduled throughout the program.
You will be provided with a mentor that is available as an interface for any questions and to serve as a connection point for resources related to your entrepreneurial endeavors or training.
The cost of the course is $47. This includes the cost of the purchasing a domain. Additionally, there are required books that will need to be purchased. More information on these materials is available at: https://createsellbank.com/csb-books/.
Earn a Certificate
At the conclusion of the course if you complete all the required assignments, you will earn a Certificate of Entrepreneurial Capabilities that you can share with your professional network. You must complete all of the requirements within the 16-week time frame in order to receive a certificate.

ECHO Institute’s Chief Innovation Officer, founder of Adaptive Chaos Consulting, experience as Board of Director member for New Mexico Health Information Collaborative and Telehealth Alliance, instructor for three UNM Innovation Academy courses on innovation, product design, and E-Commerce, and technical/business mentor to several technical start-ups.
Bill brings deep experience as a design engineer, engineering manager, professor, data scientist, technologist, board member, board officer, consultant, and voice-over talent. He was awarded ECHO's Employee of the Year for Innovation/Learning for 2018 and 2019 through his ability to innovate in environments that contain uncertainty, knowledge gaps, ambiguity, and complexity. A Myers-Brirggs ENTP, he contributes in a manner that is collaborative, resourceful, ethical, creative, relentless, cost-conscious, motivating and fun. Bill is a positive change agent with specialties in innovative processes, user-centered design, and collaborative development processes evidenced by 15 US patents, registration as a Professional Engineer, awarded undergraduate engineering degree from Michigan and awarded graduate degrees from both Stanford and Georgia, and participating in successfully launching many products and services.

About the New Mexico Rainforest EDA University Center
STC.UNM and the Innovation Academy received a grant from the federal Economic Development Administration (EDA) to support student and community entrepreneurs and provide training and technical assistance at all UNM campuses. The grant funds the New Mexico Rainforest EDA University Center, a training program in the fundamentals of entrepreneurship for students and community members at all UNM campuses around the state.
