Opportunity Zones - What do they mean for Santa Fe? - Santa Fe

Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce

1644 St. Michael's Drive
Santa Fe, NM 87505

Opportunity Zones are the “The single biggest tax incentive to invest in low-income communities across America that we’ve seen in 100 years.”

The Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce invites our business and investment communities to learn more about Federal Opportunity Zones and they mean for Santa Fe (five have been officially designated in our City).

Opportunity Zones are a chance to invest unrealized capital gains while making tax-free profits on your earnings. This allows for the creation of a new class of investment vehicle with tax advantages authorized to aggregate and deploy private capital for development in economically-distressed census tracts.

Rich Brown from the City of Santa Fe Office of Economic Development, and Ryan Eustice of the State of New Mexico Economic Development Dept. will speak and answer questions about the five Santa Fe zones and how individuals, organizations and the community can benefit from these zones.

The coffee is open to all but pre-registration is requested.

Chamber members - no charge

Non-members - $10
