Obtain OSHA 30 hour certification that directly applies to your industry. This course counts for 18 hours of NABCEP Certified Installer Education.

In addition to 10 hours of basic construction safety, these subjects that directly apply to the solar industry will include, but not be limited to: fall protection; electrical safety; personal protective equipment with emphasis on electrical PPE eye protection and body PPE; tools, specialized hand and power tool use, applications, and limitations; ladders, scaffolds, powered platforms, mobile elevated work platforms; cranes, derricks, hoists, conveyors, signs, signals, barricades; ergonomics, hands on training on proper lifting, bending, and working around uneven surfaces; new hazardous communication on chemical handling, awareness of chemicals in solar panels, health hazards, treatment and prevention from exposure; additional introduction to OSHA and managing health and safety programs.
