Digital SLR photography classes cover much more than how to use a camera. Learn how to advance from “snap-shot" photography to producing an artistic image. Getting the camera to do what you want it to do is of primary concern. Knowing what to expect when you attach a flash to your camera and making it work for you is typical of the material covered in this course, plus you will have two weekend assignments. You will be exposed to everything from basic color selection to color space.  From pixels to sensor types and sizes. From file types to workflow. Metadata, noise, tonal range, resolution, depth of field, perspective and program, and mode selection are included. Focal length and digital zoom are covered. Camera hardware and software setting, composition, understanding light, and experimenting with your lens are included. Prerequisite: Make Your Camera Work For You, Part 1 & Part 2.

Participants will:

Session 1
