This course is designed for anyone interested in healthy lifestyle changes, as a part of the USDA Grant-Healthy Meals, Fit for Life. What are Celiac Disease and Gluten-Sensitivity and how are they treated?This one-hour class will discuss how to nutrition tips for people with food allergies or intolerances and will focus on gluten sensitivity or intolerance.Should everyone go grain free?Why or why not?How many people actually have gluten intolerance or celiac disease?Do they have to be on a special diet forever?This session will provide the latest evidence on celiac disease and gluten-sensitivity including prevalence, diagnosing and symptoms. Key points of the gluten-free diet will also be reviewed including label reading, hints and tips for avoiding gluten while shopping, cooking, and eating out.

Everyone is encouraged to bring in a healthy brown bag lunch!
