This introductory class will cover the basics of Solar Energy and Solar Electricity including a brief history of photovoltaics, definitions of basic electrical terms, learn to calculate simple circuit values, learn to predict solar positions using solar path diagrams, and energy efficiency fundamentals. This class is perfect for the non-technical beginners working with photovoltaic services (i.e. sales, customer service, manufacturing and support staff); individuals who would like to get into the field, Journeyman Electricians and Electricians. Also covers photovoltaic markets and applications. This is the first of two courses required to be eligible to sit for the NABCEP Certificate of Knowledge exam.
